ACCOUNT / SUBSCRIPTION

Account & subscriptions

From creating an account to importing a client, first check your subscription status in the user dashboard, then troubleshoot local settings on your device.

What do I need to create a VPNUQ account?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password on the user dashboard’s registration page, then follow the on-screen instructions. Keep your login details somewhere safe. Use the same dashboard to view plans, get subscription links, and submit support tickets. Creating an account does not connect your client; you’ll also need to choose a plan and import your subscription.

Where can I find my subscription link?

Sign in to the user dashboard and find your available subscription links on the subscription page. Use the import method provided in the dashboard to add the link to your client. Subscription links let the client retrieve route settings, so don’t post them publicly or share them with others. If the import fails, make sure you copied the entire link and selected the correct import method. If the issue persists, submit a support ticket from the dashboard with details.

Do I need to choose a new plan when I switch devices?

VPNUQ supports an unlimited number of devices online at the same time. To switch devices, install a compatible client on the new device, sign in to the same account, and import your subscription using the dashboard instructions. You don’t need to choose a new plan just because you changed devices. If the old device still has outdated local settings, refresh the subscription in the client. Before connecting, check the selected route so you don’t mistake a local configuration issue for an account problem.

Which operating systems are supported?

Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux are supported. Client downloads and import steps may vary by system. Start from the download page in the user dashboard, then follow the guides on this site to install the client and import your subscription. If your system asks for network or proxy permissions, first confirm that the prompt comes from the client you’re installing, then follow its instructions. Once installed, choose a route and check the actual exit region.

Next: find a client in the user dashboard, or read the subscription import guide.

CONNECTION / DIAGNOSIS

Connections & troubleshooting

Check account status, subscription settings, proxy mode, and exit region separately to narrow down the issue more quickly than repeatedly reinstalling the client.

The client won’t connect. What should I check first?

First, make sure your device can access commonly used websites. Then check your plan status and confirm that the client has the latest subscription. Try a route in a different region or of a different type, and temporarily disable any other proxy settings that might conflict. If you still can’t connect, note the error shown in the client, the selected route, and your operating system, then submit a support ticket through the user dashboard. These details help pinpoint the issue more than simply saying the connection doesn’t work.

Why isn’t a particular app using the proxy?

First, check whether the client is using global, rule-based, or per-app mode. In rule-based mode, different domains and apps may use different routes. In per-app mode, make sure the app is included. After changing modes, reopen the app and use an exit IP checker to confirm the connection. If your browser works but one app doesn’t, check that app’s network settings instead of repeatedly switching routes.

Why does the client still show old routes after I update the subscription link?

Clients usually keep a local copy of the route list after importing a subscription, so changes in the dashboard may not appear right away. Find the relevant subscription in the client, refresh or update it, then check the route list again. If the routes are still outdated, make sure you updated the VPNUQ subscription rather than another local configuration. If needed, get the link from the user dashboard again and reimport it. Don’t share the link publicly.

The connection works, but websites still show the wrong region. What should I do?

Check your current exit IP and its location on a network test page, then compare them with the route selected in the client. If the exit region matches the route but a website still shows your old region, it may be using your existing login session, cached data, or account region settings. Try reopening the page and checking the website’s own region settings. If your exit IP hasn’t changed either, check the client’s proxy mode, system permissions, and subscription settings.

Need to check your exit IP? Go to Network Check. Still can’t connect? Submit a support ticket in the user dashboard.

SPEED / ROUTES

Speed & routes

Your experience depends on the region, route path, and local network. Comparing routes with the same task is more useful than judging by route names alone.

Videos buffer during peak hours. How can I troubleshoot?

First, work out whether the issue is local network instability, route congestion, or a change in the video platform’s playback quality. Keep the video the same, try routes in nearby regions, and compare direct, relay, and IEPL routes based on how they actually perform. Don’t judge speed by region names alone. High-quality video uses more plan data, so check your remaining allowance in the user dashboard. If several websites are noticeably slower, check your local network and client connection status.

How do I choose between IEPL, relay, and direct routes?

These terms describe different network paths, and no single route type is best for every situation. For live meetings, check whether calls remain stable. For browsing and document syncing, try a route that responds smoothly. For extended video viewing, compare actual playback and data usage. Start with the region where your target service is based, or a nearby region, then compare routes under the same conditions. Keep other working options available in case a route’s performance changes.

Streaming sites load, but playback is choppy. What should I check?

A page loading only means a connection path is available; it doesn’t guarantee smooth playback. Check that the client is still connected to the expected region, then review your local network, video quality settings, and remaining plan data. Try another route in the same region and see whether buffering improves. Streaming platforms may show different catalogs based on account settings or content licensing, so the route’s region doesn’t necessarily determine what content the site displays.

How should I understand coverage and protocol names?

VPNUQ routes cover 110+ countries with 240+ routes. These figures describe the range of available options, not a guarantee of identical performance everywhere or at all times. Names such as Hysteria2, Trojan, and VLESS shown in the client refer to connection protocols; they are separate from regions and route types. For everyday use, choose a route based on your target region. For more detail on protocol design and network paths, see the route and protocol reference on this site.

PLANS / REFUNDS

Billing & refunds

Monthly plans and data packages handle data resets differently. Before changing plans or requesting a refund, check your order and plan details in the user dashboard.

What monthly plans are available, and when does data reset?

Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. Choose a plan based on your usual browsing, meetings, and video use—not price alone. If your current tier isn’t a good fit, the price difference for a mid-cycle upgrade is converted into remaining days. Check your current plan and available options in the user dashboard, and don’t confuse monthly plan data with data packages.

What’s the difference between a data package and a monthly plan?

Data packages are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They last until the data is used and never expire. Monthly plan data resets each month on the activation date. A data package may suit usage that varies over time, while a monthly plan may work better if your usage is fairly consistent. Before choosing, check the plan type and data allowance in the user dashboard. Data packages do not reset monthly.

How can I check what changed after upgrading mid-cycle?

When you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Before proceeding, check your current plan, the tier you’re considering, and the change details shown in the user dashboard. After the change, return to your account page to confirm your plan status, then refresh the subscription in your client so it doesn’t keep using outdated local route settings. If the dashboard shows something unexpected, submit a support ticket with your original plan, the new plan, and the message displayed.

How do I request a refund, and which payment methods are supported?

VPNUQ offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. To request a refund, sign in to the user dashboard and submit a support ticket with the relevant order details and your request. Watch for follow-up replies in the ticket, and don’t post order information publicly. Supported payment methods are Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Describe refund requests and route issues separately. If you’re also having connection problems, include the routes you tried and any messages shown by the client so the issue can be handled appropriately.

Compare all available tiers on the Plans page. See the Terms of Service for refund terms.
